Phew, I just can't believe that once more we have left or rather forgotten to update the blog (again)!! Here we are the last days of October 2014 jeez where did the time go.
Once more we have been pretty busy, with no time to look around it's just unbelievable.
As it stands the band have had to cancel two gigs this October due to Merv's chest infection and a couple of close family problems. There is now light at the end of tunnel and the band are hoping that December and January will be a busy time.
The band have uploaded some tunes to soundcloud and you can hear them at www.soundcloud.com/bangtorights they were recorded at various rehearsal's straight to Merv's Imac "warts and all", as they say.
Once more we are sorry that we have neglected the blog, as it said on my school report,"Must try harder". On past performance we will catch up around Christmas 2015!!! Doh. Please stay tuned.

It's been a while since we last looked at the blog.
It's just one of those things that you just don't think about day in day out, just when your conscientious tells you to "click here".
The band have been busy putting another new set list together, in preparation of a really busy September. New recordings of the boys has yet to be finalized but the initial recordings are sounding pretty damn good.
It's holiday season and it's this that have put a hold on the guys gigging in August, but as I have already stated the lads have a busy September in front of them.
So as they say in the trade, "Watch This Space"
Cheers.

The 4th May and more....
Well well May is here already. How quickly this year is going by.
The lads had a great gig at The Hen & Chickens at Bridgnorth on the 4th May. A great crowd filled the room, and joined in with such classics as Whole Lotta Rosie, and Rock n Roll. Paul the landlord has asked the band for dates in August and December so watch this space.
The lads are doing a couple of open air gigs in the summer as well as two private parties in September, their diary is filling up nicely.
Unfortunately the lads had to miss what would of been their biggest gig to date. On the 18th May a night of light was organised in a field between Stafford and Cannock. All in support of Stafford hospital, an expected 2000+ music lovers were invited to attend, however when offered the gig the band had already made arrangements that made it impossible for them to perform.
The band are very eager to help out any charitable cause, and love nothing better than playing for charity. Like Merv says you can just enjoy yourself up on stage and get away with most things as we all know why we are there "To have a good time while raising money".
Anybody want the band to support their charity then give them a call on 07976 353634 if they are available then they will do it.
Till the next time.

Yes indeed the cancelled gig at The Hen & Chickens has been rescheduled for the 4th May 2013. At the moment the lads are preparing for their first ever gig in Bridgnorth. We are hoping for a great crowd so if you're planning to turn up make it early.
A great town with lots of History why not make a weekend of it, as The Hen & Chickens has rooms to let.

Bloody hell 2013. and this is the first post !!
Where has the time gone.
The gig on the 7th December was a resounding success, a full house of music hungry fans that wanted and got a shot of classic rock, and the band are looking forward to holding a similar party later this year.
Mark became ill on the 10th December and spent the remainder of December laid up in bed with a version of Merv's lurghy. Yes Christmas was a bit dinted to say the least, at The Langford household.
In the meantime Merv had a second bout of it starting boxing day which saw him laid up in bed until he went to see the Doctor on the 2nd of January, who then prescribed a second strong treatment of antibiotics and steroids, which kicked it into touch.
The good news at this time is that no-one is ill.
We have had really bad weather here, so much so that Merv was snowed in at his gaff and therefore the planned gig at The Hen & Chickens at Bridgnorth had to be cancelled.
Hey ho
Shit happens !!

Two weeks and counting.
Where has the time gone.
It is now 26th November !
Merv was taken ill on the 15th of October with flu and then a chest infection. It has taken until now for him to shake it off, but it has left him with a damn cough.
In the meantime the rest of the band have also systematically taken the time off to be ill. The perils of growing older, which means that there is just one rehearsal before the party on the 7th of December.
Finger crossed that everyone is fighting fit for then !

7th December and more
The 8th November my god where has the last month gone. Merv dropped ill on the 15th October and to date is still recovering.
The Doc has now given him a course of steroids to aid the healing process, so fingers crossed he will be up and singing very very very soon.
While we have been inactive, we have been offered what could turn out to be the very very last "Friday Night Presents" gig at The Royal Naval Association Club House in Bellmans Yard Newport Shropshire (home to the famed Newport Open Mic evenings that are held there every Tuesday)
Through whatever reason and I think it may be a lack of promotion the "One Friday a month" live band nights have generally not been well attended and have been losing money for the promoter. Another reason could be that there is no pattern to "The Friday Night" ie one month it may be on the 2nd or 3rd Friday while the next month it may be on the 4th Friday. Either way the figures have been disappointingly dropping, despite the quality of the bands that have played there.
Bang To Rights are to play what may result in the very last Live Band night on 7th December. Yes folks the 7th December. Despite our 3hour set, we have elected to ask Jack Green if he will do us the honour of supporting us on what is sure to be a very emotional night.
Jack is a singer songwriter with amazing talent and voice, who has recorded his own album and is now busy promoting it by gigging up and down the entire country. Merv who has known Jack's family personally for many many years has seen this young musician grow as an artiste and we are really chuffed to bits that he agreed to take a break from his heavy gigging load, in order to help us out on the 7th December.
So why not come along on the 7th December and see what all the fuss is about, lets see if we can't change the promoters mind and continue with the "Friday Night Presents Live Band night", throughout 2013.
Good cheap beer, a great atmosphere and LIVE music by Newport's premier classic rock and blues band Bang To Rights.
Remember folks when its gone its gone so Keep Music Live and support the "Friday Night Presents" Live band evenings.
See you there.
Mark, Steve, Pete and Merv.
